Samantha Ronson
Samantha Ronson's mother, Ann Dexter-Jones, did not just hand to her daughter a propensity to be where the flashbulbs are popping; she's still there. The writer, society lady and charity-board regular is still a fixture of New York society, as are at least three of her children: the musician Mark Ronson and the designer Charlotte Ronson in addition to Samantha. But it is Samantha who became famous outside of the small circle of Manhattan society when paparazzi snapped pictures of troubled actress and Ronson-friend Lindsay Lohan apparently passed out in the society D.J.'s car. Samantha is not the Lily Pulitzer type. And her friendships and interests somewhat defy the narrow confines of New York society. But she is both a product of and a fixture in it: witness her co-founding of the club The Plumm with fellow scenesters Chris Noth, David Wells and Noel Ashman.
